Dear Students,

Welcome to OSTİM Technical University and the Graduate School of Social Sciences. This guide has been prepared to help you easily adapt to campus life and quickly access the information you may need during your first days.

 Getting to the Campus

 Metro:

• OSTİM Station (M1 Törekent–Kızılay line) is within a 5-minute walking distance to the university.
• The travel time between two metro stations is approximately 2 minutes.
• From OSTİM to Kızılay takes about 20 minutes.
• From OSTİM to AŞTİ (Ankara Intercity Bus Terminal) takes about 32 minutes, with a transfer to the A1 line at Kızılay.

 Minibus (Dolmuş):

• Services depart from the stop located just across from OSTİM Metro Station (a 2-minute walk).
• Direct access is available to Etimesgut (~20 min), Sincan (~36 min), Fatih (~45 min), and many other districts such as Keçiören, Ulus, Bahçelievler, Emek, Pursaklar, Saray, Şentepe, Karşıyaka, Yenikent, Yapracık, Eryaman, Akyurt, and Kahramankazan.​

 Building & Elevators

In F Block of our University’s main campus, there are three elevators:

• Student Elevator: Operates only between the ground floor and the 3rd floor.
• Staff/Special Card Elevator: Operates with a special card and is primarily reserved for academic staff. Students may request assistance from security staff to access the upper floors.
• Service Elevator: Designated mainly for university staff use and operates with a special card.

 Dining & Cafeterias

• F Block Ground Floor – Arabica Coffee: Coffee, desserts, sandwiches, and a seating area.

• F Block 2nd Floor – Dining Hall: Meals, toasts, bagels, tea, and coffee are served. The daily menu and price list are displayed at the entrance.

• F Block 3rd Floor – Cafeteria: Meals, toasts, sandwiches, tea, and coffee This cafeteria also includes a terrace area.

• A Block 3rd Floor – Cafeteria: Meals, coffee, desserts, tea, coffee, and more. This cafeteria also has a terrace area.

 Library & Study Spaces

• Our University Library, located in F Block of the main campus, offers: 956 m² total area, 210 seating capacity, and shelf capacity for 25,000 books,
• 3 group study rooms,
• Open-shelf system (LC classification),
• KOHA automation system for searching, renewals, and reservations,
• Wireless internet, scanning computers, printers, and copiers,
• Membership in TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM EKUAL and ANKOS,
• Access to 17 international databases.

  Health & Psychological Support

• Infirmary (First Aid Room): Main Campus F Block, Ground Floor, Room Z-50. Open on weekdays between 08:30–17:30.
• Provides free first aid and ambulance coordination services.
• Psychological Counseling & Guidance: Main Campus F Block, Ground Floor, Room Z-50, with both face-to-face and online sessions. Appointments can be scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, between 08:30–17:30.

   Sports Facilities & Fitness Center

Main Campus

• Outdoor Astroturf Football Field: Open for daytime use; lighting is required for night use. The entrance gate locking system has been repaired.
• Multi-purpose Outdoor Court (Volleyball/Basketball/Tennis): The surface is ready; basketball hoops, net posts, and nets have been set up. The entrance gate locking system has been repaired.
• Fitness Center: Equipment has been purchased and final preparations are underway. It will open in the new academic year. Usage instructions are posted at the entrance. Locker rooms and restrooms have been cleaned, and a numbered locker locking system is being implemented.

Fitness & Conditioning Center

Fitness literally means “to be healthy and in good shape.” Since each individual has a different age, lifestyle, and body type, training programs must be personalized. It is recommended to train under the supervision of a qualified instructor.

Rules of Use

• Always bring a towel.
• Do not enter without proper sportswear.
• Report any equipment malfunction or safety issue to the staff.
• Follow the exercise program assigned by the instructor.
• Only water is allowed in the gym.
• Do not use mobile phones on cardio machines.
• When using the treadmill, wait for the belt to start moving before stepping on.
• Return weights to their racks after use; do not leave dumbbells or plates on benches or drop them on the floor.
• Do not bring valuables; the university is not responsible for lost items.​

Preparatory Campus

• 1 large outdoor astroturf football field
• 1 multi-purpose outdoor court (volleyball & basketball)

 Internet & Wi-Fi

High-speed Wi-Fi service is available throughout the campus. There are four network options:

• cahitarf Network: Reserved exclusively for academic and administrative staff. It is protected by advanced security protocols and accessible only to authorized users. Passwords are distributed solely by the Information Management Department to ensure security.
• personel mobil Network: Designed to provide staff with easy and secure access through their mobile devices. It is safeguarded with authentication and encryption methods. Passwords are available via the Information Management Department.
• Student Wi-fi Network: Prepared exclusively for students, offering fast and easy access. No password is required for the first login. Users are asked to enter their name, surname, and mobile phone number, after which a one-time verification code is sent via SMS to complete secure login. This method ensures a verified, controlled, and safe internet experience.
• OstimTech-Misafir Wi-fi Network: Created to provide internet access for guests attending university events. Depending on the type of event, usernames and passwords are generated and shared by the Information Management Department when needed.
